Fountain Trust Pipe Band and Ft. Wayne Scottish Pipes and Drums

The Indianapolis Scottish Highland Games & Festival are thrilled to welcome Fountain Trust Pipe Band and Ft. Wayne Scottish Pipes and Drums as our featured pipe bands for 2024!

The Fountain Trust Pipe Band is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Fountain Trust Company, a community bank, sponsors the band. We are first and foremost a competition pipe band. Without the support of the Fountain Trust Company Bank we would not be able to enjoy the awesome experience that is FTPB!

The Fountain Trust Pipe band was started in December 1999 with five pipers. The goal of the founding members was to create a stable long-term competition pipe band and to become a center for quality piping in Indiana.

The band first competed in grade 5 in 2002. The beginnings were rough. The first drum score the band ever received said "drummers not playing together at any time." Fortunately the band improved and started moving up each year in the results. Five years later, in 2007, the band won Champion Supreme for grade 5 in the Midwest Pipe Band Association.

The band upgraded to Grade 3 for the 2016 and 2017 seasons - one of the only bands in Indiana to have made this step. In 2018, the band travelled to Scotland for the World Pipe Band Championships in Grade 4a, and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019.

The Fort Wayne Scottish Pipes and Drums is a competition bagpipe and drum band based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. By drawing on the knowledge and talents of our members we are able to share the music and culture of Scotland with the people of our community.

The Fort Wayne Scottish Pipes and Drums was founded in 1986 to promote Scottish heritage and the Great Highland Bagpipe in Northeast Indiana. The band performs at different parades and Highland Games throughout the midwest. We are always looking for new members and offer free lessons to anyone wanting to learn the pipes or drums.
